Brief Overview:
Angels’ Place, Inc. invites applications for the Education Director of the North Side Center Early Childhood Education and Family Support Program.  Angels’ Place, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides comprehensive family support services and quality early childhood education to help families break the cycle of poverty and reach their full potential.

Master’s Degree or minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, social work, family relations, family counseling or other human services field with three years’ experience working in administrative or supervisory capacity in the field of family support, community outreach or in crisis intervention.
Key Skills:
Early Childhood Management: Experience operating and managing all aspects of an early child care program, including business management, education, multi-site environment, and marketing and communications.
Teaching and Accreditation: Classroom teaching experience in a NAEYC accredited and Keystone STARS early childhood facility.
Strong Relational Skills: Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and an ability to work with limited supervision.
Strong Organization Skills: Able to multi-task and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong Computer Skills:Including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Outlook), the internet and social media.
Willingness to work flexible hours that may include evenings and/or weekends

A successful Education Director will:

Endorse the mission and values of Angels’ Place.
Build on the heritage and strengths of the organization to provide a supportive learning environment that focuses on the total development of the child and parent.
Manage the transition into a larger learning space essential for the growth of the organization.
Possess excellent communication skills and represent Angels’ Place at community events and meetings.
Work constructively as part of the Administrative Team to ensure effective school operations, resolution to problems that arise, and proactive responses to opportunities.

Program Management
Effectively maintains enrollment by marketing the center to prospective applicants. Includes promoting the facility, activities, policies and enrollment procedures.
Oversee the day to day operations and management of the center including employee relations, program planning, assessment, marketing, and financial management.
Review and interpret student achievement data to reinforce and facilitate an institution-wide culture of assessment and data-driven instruction.
Establish and maintains respectful and successful working relationships with state licensing and regulatory agencies.
Serve as an advocate for families with retaining resources and referrals along with family engagement and involvement in the program.
Ensure consistent implementation and accreditation of NAEYC and maintains Keystone STARS – STAR 4 standards.
Follow and enforce all rules and regulations pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.
Staff Development and Supervision
Assume a leadership role in organizing and conducting in-service and staff meetings, workshops and other school functions.
Mentor, observe, evaluate, and promote the professional growth of all teachers.
Community Relations
Establish Angels’ Place as an anchor program and resource in the neighboring community.
Build trust and effective working relationships with teachers, students, parents, and community leaders.
Recruit and train new volunteers, create assignments and schedule as appropriate.
Strategic Plan Implementation
Develop and maintain a network with social and educational providers in the community, overseeing and directing outreach to attract families and partners.
Provide strategic direction to staff ensure that long and short-range planning, are undertaken in an effective manner and in keeping with the goals established by the Board of Directors.
